To Mallorca with high morale

Real Madrid will aim to continue their recent progress under new coach Juande Ramos when they travel to Real Mallorca this weekend.

Madrid have beaten fellow high-flyers Valencia and Villarreal in their last two outings to climb back up to third spot, while they have also been boosted by the return of some key players from injury and the arrival of new signings Lassana Diarra and Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

“We are 12 points behind Barca and we cannot afford any slip-ups. Mallorca gave Barca a scare but Barca knew how to step it up and take control, ultimately winning the match 3-1 at the Nou Camp,” says Rafael van der Vaart.

”Morale is high in the team thanks to our two consecutive victories. We want to carry on winning and will do everything we can to not concede any goals in Sunday’s match and to leave with all three points”.
